Developmental Milestones

November 5, 2013

There are milestones that doctors and therapist use to determine if your baby or child is on track developmentally.
Here is a checklist from CDC’s Act Early Site: http://www.cdc.gov/ncbddd/actearly/milestones/index.html.
Click on the age of your child to see the milestones: (we can just have the above link or the link to each age checklist).

You can use the check list above to monitor your child’s development. It is important to understand that milestones are ranges for development. Not all children develop the same or at the same rate.
If you’re concerned child is not meeting the milestones for his or her age, or if you think there could be a problem with the way your child plays, learns, speaks, or acts, talk to your child’s doctor or one of our therapists and share your concerns. Don’t wait.
